ME Sectoral Overview 2016

India's Media and Entertainment (M&E) sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 14.3% to touch Rs.2.26 trillion by 2020. The advertising revenues are expected to grow at 15.9% to reach Rs.99,400 crore. In 2015, the ME sector grew at 12.8%, while overall advertising grew at 14.7% over 2014. (KPMG-FICCI 2016)

Growth for television advertising is projected at a CAGR of 15% between 2015 and 2020, while print media is expected to grow at 8.6%, according to a report by consulting firm KPMG and industries group FICCI.

The sector is in the grip of a positive sentiment and that's due to many factors including a steady rise in household income and the evolving lifestyles associated with it. Media is now consumed by audiences across demographics using various channels such as TV, Films, OOH, Radio, Animation and Visual Effects (VFX), Music, Gaming, Digital Advertising, and Print. +
