Partnering Enterprises for Their Digital Transformation Journey

Today marks the first year anniversary of the merger of two technology giants, Dell and EMC. The deal marked one of the biggest in tech industry’s history. Looking back at the last one year of the alliance, Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO, Dell Technologies, sounded more than satisfied when he quipped at the recently concluded VMworld 2017 in Las Vegas that “the biggest surprise is that we have had no surprises.”

Bringing together the Dell Technologies vision at Dell EMC World 2017, Michael Dell in a way resonated what every enterprise today is struggling with – transform or die. Digital transformation is the name of the game and enterprises have no choice but to align their business models and strategies with the digital vision. The combined entity, Dell EMC, is ideally positioned to serve the fuel that organizations need to drive and fulfill their digital vision.

At the center of this whole transformation is the data center. Organizations have to be prepared to adapt to the changes taking place in their data centers as cloud, analytics, big data, mobility, AI, machine learning, etc. find a way into their scheme of things. With recent updates to its converged and hyper-converged portfolio, Dell EMC is all set to help businesses transform and optimize their data centers for digitization.

As businesses undertake their digital transformation journeys, they will be needing partners who can handhold them through from the start to finish. A leverage for Dell EMC considering its ‘end-to-end’ portfolio of hardware, software, and services.

With this in the backdrop, the Dell EMC Forum 2017 will kick start in Mumbai today with the theme “REALIZE”. It means realizing your company’s digital future. The businesses should be able to speed up their transformation or be destroyed by the competitors coming from unknown quarters.

In his keynote, you will hear David Webster, President, Dell EMC Asia Pacific and Japan talk about how organizations can realize their digital future while Shalil Gupta, Associate VP, Insights and Consulting, IDC will provide an outlook on digital in India. Leading IT leaders, like Jayantha Prabhu, CTO, Essar Group and India Business Head, AGC Networks, Ekhlaque Bari, Executive VP and Head – Technology, Max Life Insurance and Harnath Babu, CIO, KPMG India, will delve on the different facets of digital transformation.

The forum’s key highlights include a panel discussion by women leaders on ‘Transformational Leadership with New Rules of Engagement’ and a discussion with Mithali Raj, Captain of India’s women’s cricket team. On the sidelines of the forum, it will be conducting Designathon – an innovative approach to push forward the design thinking amongst the community.
